Join Us - Seigo-sei Shotokan Karate Glasgow

Joining SSK is easy.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the information contained in this website simply

  • choose which class you wish to attend

  • send Sensei McGreechin an email or text message advising him of your intention to come along

  • complete a registration form and bring it along with you to class

There is no financial commitment at this stage other than to pay class fees.  There is no joining fee for the club.  Students pay only for the sessions they attend. If there is a double session the second session is free.

Preparing for your first class is easy too.  Simply

  • wear some clothing that does not restrict movement and is relatively light weight - you will get quite warm during exercise

  • tie back long hair

  • remove jewellery, and in particular rings and watches.  Ear piercings should be removed where practical or taped up

  • bring some water

Once you have attended classes and decided that you enjoy studying Shotokan you can begin to think about the next steps.

Motivated and diligent new students can become eligible to grade for their orange belt within 3 months.  Prior to this you will need a KUGB licence and a karate suit (Gi) and belt (Obi).
